Spacers on the front wheels
#1
I have a 1.8 Phase 3, and just recently purchased some 307 Arianes to go on, I'd read before hand that i needed spacers on the back so I bought some 15mm hubentric. My problem is the front wheels are very very close to the suspension strut and on the test drive after fitting the wheels I found the inside tyre wall very warm!

I was wondering if I put 15mm spacers on the front too to clear the strut comfortably, but what will it do the handling? that's my only concern!

Cheers guys.

iirc you have 6.5" x ET31, so 15mm would be ideal.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

i had 5mm on the front and it was fine. with 15 yeh you definitely want hubcentric and not just a standard spacer.

Mine were very close even with 5mm spacers, i'll be going 15mm hubcentric I think, what do you think it'll do to the handling?

Make it very close to standard offset.

Not really clued up on this, never put spacers on the front before you see. So it should handle like normal ?

oh sorry im talking about when i did it and i had different wheels. If your wheels are ET30 and standard 306 wheels are et15 then you need 15mm spacers to make up the difference. like this...

itll handle fine if they are fitted correctly. there are plenty of track cars running spacers as the Team dynamic 1.2s are often difficult to find in pug fitment but easy to find in ford fitment.

That makes more sense to me now, thanks. Diagrams are so much easier to understand haha!
