Well, i thought it time to start sharing some of my interests with You guys,

Being as my knees are too knackered for cycling, running or rugby any more, and i don have any fishing gear left... (long story) 
Other than fixing up my 306, i have a 1989 Yamaha Tzr 125 waiting (still waiting 3 years on) for its complete nut and bolt rebuild. 

Another long story on how i came to obtain this little rough gem, but i have every intention of fixing her up soon ish. 

Now, my main hobby, is RC. Yes remote control. I currently have 5 RC planes, and a 6th being built. 

I have built approx 20 planes so far, and the 5 i have atm, are good fliers, 1 being super quick, loud, and super agile. 
Now i am now pro pilot, and can only do basic areobatics, but i am 100% self taught. I have never had the chance to have anyone help me learn. 

So here are my little beauties. 

First up, My Dynam Spitfire. 
Measuring in at 1200mm wingspan, and 1010mm in length, 

she is no small bird. 



really must apologize for the cruddy quality in the pic. 

It has - retractable landing gear, and full working flaps just like the real thing.

Next is my Flying wing, currently stripped of parts waiting for the postman to bring new electronics. 


It is a foamboard plane, and flies really nice. It is currently being re worked, where the propellor will be moved from the front of the plane to the back, making it a pusher.   it is a real nice gently flier. 

Next up, is my Storch, 
Again self built, from foamboard, it is bigger than my spitfire, and uses the electronice i robbed from my crashed BF-109 lol. 




she no longer looks like this, as she had a repaint to blue and white, (i did not like the swiss cross) lol. 
This again is a big gentle flier, but needs lots of co-ordination, as if you fly it like the spitfire she looks awful in the air, so oyu need to use lots of rudder in the turns to keep the arse end in line. 

Next is my Bloody Wonder. 
Again self built, and had her last flight today. It is an ok flier, but it keeps breaking, as the tails hit the ground on landing, and they are weak. So it neeeds too much regular repair for my liking 



it is very light, so wind is an issue as well. 

But my most favorite at the moment, is my F-22 Raptor. 



It has a 2000kv motor (2000rpm per volt)
11.1v batteries (just over 22000rpm) 

all self built, she hits approx 80mph, and goes straight up.... well it would keep going until the batteries ran out lol. 
Although it is the fastest plane i own atm, it is one of the smallest. But where it lacks size, it makes up for in pressence. as when ever i take it out, she always draws a small crowd of people staring at her.   

I unfortunatly have no videos, or many other piuctures, as i mostly fly solo, i have no one else local interested in flying. which is sad really, as this hobby is so much fun, and although expensize to get into, cheap to re-build new planes with the old equipment. 
Alot of my parts are at least 2-3 years old now, and still going strong. 


But, the last one i am building, is called the DeAgostini Spitfire. It is completely made from balsa and lite-ply.  and with any luck, will looks something,ik this- 

 
it is running a petrol engine @ 6.5cc (subject to change) 
so, if you dont mind, as i build/fly/crash a plane, i may add them here,

The little blue car is 1-18th scale with a 8000kv mamba motor, running this with 10 cell battery I've reached a speed of 43 mph, using a speed gun, the fg managed 48

I did have a 1/5th HOR bike, till i did too many wheelies and broke the rear swing arm lol.
It was one of those Nikkon bikes, it only did 10mph tops, until i put a 3500kv brushless inrunner, 1800mah 3s, and proper servos for control the rider, i think she did about 40-50 in the end, so many wheelies, and the rear tyre actually got really hot on a good run super sticky.

but in the past, i have had,
Sandmaster st1 and st2 (st1 was electric, st2 nitro)
Manta Ray (tamiya)
FWD tamiya JTCC Toyota (cant remember the model number)
the manta ray, and the jtcc shared the same chassis, so int the end i turned the jtcc 4wd, and it want like stink lol

i have had a few cars in the past, but i am just not so interested in them any more, too many have them and think theirs is the best blah blah blah. I didnt like the attitude of some of the hobbyists tbh. You dont get any of that in RC flight, as it is 100% all about having fun every one i have spoken to on forums, all give me the impression i would really get along with them if i met them in person.

Please keep the post coming, show us your RC models, notice i didn't say toys there who am i kidding, the bigger the boy, the bigger the toy.....

This was my old 1/5 all carbon fibre and aluminium and titanium. Had a 30cc race tuned motor, I got it to 80mph was the best thing ever. Hydraulic discs all round, lsd the lot. Miss it so much

Some of these look awesome! It's something I've always wanted to get involved it but I wouldn't know where to start, plus at the moment all my spare time is taken up by rallye refurb.
I'd love to get into flying stuff though. I've seen some of the helicopters that people fly and they are insane!

yeh so ive got a DJI Phantom 2 with a zenmuse HD3D gimbal and gopro black edition. Then an FPV setup with stat overlay. Its cost a fortune but gets great footage. Always scary flying it over water.

400 for the quad copter. 300 for the gimbal. 300 for the gopro. 400 for the visual kit. Then 3 batteries at 100 each... so... yeh about 2 grands worth.

That is a amazing bit of kit you've got there, a friend of mine has one and i was blown away by the quality of the camera, even when you could barely see it in the sky, also love the fact that when you turn the controler off it land in the exact same spot it took off from

theyre proper dji phantom 2 batteries. They have a chip built into them. 5400mah lipos. People using fake batteries have had the batteries fail and the quadcopter fall out of hte sky so always best to use genuine for peace of mind. They last about 15 minutes each.

Im much in to the rc world ever since a kid. I had my first nitro truck at the age of 12 and previous to that it was many nicad and nihm chassis's from tamiyas tl-01 and even the ff-01 chassis. By the age of 14 i was racing at my local club then moved on to nationals with 1/8th rally cross. Im still much into them with a fleat of 6. Ive done a it of testing for hpi europe with their esc's for their new hpi savage xs at the time.

Absolutely brilliant drift chassis so balanced and drifts brilliant even of 50/50 drive.

So many nice plane's n car's, it's a shame we're not back in the 80's when RC stuff was massive, I've got a old Schumacher cat which I got up and running for my son, but he's to interested in his xbox, my first car was a tamiya hornet when I was about 9, this was replaced by the boomerang, my dad has a Mardave Marauder sat in his loft with the original box, that thing must be over 30 years old lol
