Rover 214SI, Carbs, £1000ono Watford
#1
As you may or may not know, I am leaving the UK for the lands of stricter MOTs. As painful as it is, the best option for me right now is to sell the Rover. Seems to be a habit, build awesome car, have some reason to sell it.

BUT, not in a rush to shift it at all and if push comes to shove it will come with me rather than go to scrap, there is NO WAY I will let this thing go there! Even if it comes with me and sits in a garage for a couple of years.

So down to the details.

1993 Rover 214SI, £1000 ono, talk to me.

Very tidy bodywork for the age, small amount of surface rust on some edges, none underneath but would benefit from a fresh coat of underseal.

Dual twin choke side draught carb conversion using Solex 40ADDHE carbs, aluminium trumpets and Ram-air airfilters. Doesn't have a lot of torque but gets very "happy" above 3,500rpm

MOT until Jan 2016 with no advisories to speak of.
approx 60,000 miles
1.4 16v K series petrol, head gasket changed approx 6 months ago with head skim #BecauseRover
Timing belt, water pump and alternator also replaced at the same time.
Kit car style short inlet manifold (Rover K-series to Weber 40 type mount)
Sytec Injection to Carb return type fuel pressure regulator
4 x Matching tyres with good tread
AVO Trackday coilover suspension, approx 2 years old and could do with some attention
MG Hairpin wheels missing centre caps
Standard exhaust system (tubular exhaust manifold and down pipe purchased but not currently fitted)
Sony DAB headunit although requires DAB antenna
Innovate MTX-L Wideband Guage and Bosch LSU 4.2 Wideband Lambda sensor
VW 1.4TSI electronic brake vacuum pump
Quick release bumper things
MK3 VW Golf front splitter
Central locking
"Keep fit" windows, no power steering, airbag or ABS. It's an oldie!
Several awesome stickers
A single purple cable tie just in the right place to stick your phone for GPS action

Will have a new windscreen fitted as of 16/06/15 as the current one got cracked by a stone flicked up on the M25  Sad

Will also be on the RRF stand at the Retro Show on 21/05/15 for anyone who wants a nosey around the car who isn't near Watford.

Ideal for someone who wants a toy car to tinker with, because of the carbs and age of car it does need a tinker with every now and then, rather than just abusing every day without thought.

Now have some pics okay.
