Insurance quotes are going from £427 right up to £743 just for a change of postcode That's outrageous! I knew it would go up but never thought it would be that noticeable

Where are you moving to?
28-05-2015, 08:20 PM
Where have you moved to? What prefix? Bearing in mind NR where you would have been is one of the best in the UK.
28-05-2015, 08:21 PM
Yeah i've had that just by changing a postcode to the next street lol

Nope, be lucky if you've got any wheels left after a week.
But seriously, no not surprised its nearly double. Location plays a massive part in the risk and premium.

I take it your also changing from driveway to on street or similar and possibly from living with parents to something else that might effect risk?
Haha good job I've got a couple of sets. Looks like I'm going to get really angry about insurance prices every year from now then!

Both quotes are on driveway. Only other thing that's changed is 'living with parents' to 'own home'. But owning a home brings it down so that's not affecting it either. For example if I owned my parents home my quote is £416.

I live in the worst risk postcode so mine will never get more lol
28-05-2015, 09:24 PM

I pay about £400 but on my mates postcode who lives in Malton in North Yorkshire it'd be £102...

Turns out it was a good idea trying flux, they're good this year. I've paid 432 and can modify my car more now, and was told the quote for the new postcode was only 451! So we'll see if that's the case when I move in a few months!
