People going above or below this? I'm gonna try go over, then there is plenty of space for exhaust to run back down?

Maybe grind off the flange and weld a 90* bend to the water pipe?

Or grind it back an inch or two, put an inch of pipe on, with a hard 90 coming out.

I've gone below on the ones I've done for Tom mate. Just keep it tight to the block and there is room for a 3" turbo exit pipe, on a ZX anyway :-)

Dum Dums idea is easy enough tho, that water pipe is weldable but it's thin and rusty.

I went under, but then found the gear links made contact, its quite a tight bit of space there
