Service Indicator
#1
Hi all,
i have tried resetting my service indicator by doing the 'Ignition off, hold down button, turn ignition on (on being 2nd click), keep pressed for 10secs' and it should reset, yet it isnt doing..
I dont get any count down from '10' it just comes on straight to my mileage (no flashy '-0') and just resets my trip mileage and sits there, no matter how long i hold it down for
its a 1998 dturbo,
when i turn the ignition on without holding the button, the service spanner flashes along with '-0' for about 5 secs, then switches to my mileage..
Is something knackered? and i just have to live with it, or is there something else i can try?

Thats how i first tried it, got in the car on my lunch in work,
Held down the button, switched to 2nd position (glow plugs) counted to like 15
Nothing happand so whilst holding down the button,
I started the car and again counted to 15 whilst it was running, all it did was reset my mileage
