Think my car was too low haha seems to have split my CV boot. Is it easier to just swap out the drive shaft rather than the boot itself.

Yes mate, Imo it is, swapping driveshaft pretty easy, changing the boot is a faf about

depends how long it has been split, if its not long and the joint is in decent condition it'll be far cheaper to pop a new boot on, not difficult.
