Hi all,
Im Stu and im fairly new to the HDi scene. I have owned the car for just over the 15 months now and i have grown quite attached to it. i bought the car as a daily hack as i needed something cheap to get to work. I was orginally after a 3door Dturbo, however i ended coming home with this. At the time when i purchased it, the car had 66,000 miles, 2 owners from new and cost me £1000. It was an elderly chaps car that he used to ferry his grandkids about. So its had an easy life for a estate. I have a few jobs to do on the car, i will shortly start a progress thread.
Also if any of you peeps like a retro car, i also own a virtually concours 1988 309 Gti.
A little teaser for you.

Welcome along, looks a nice tidy motor tbh, nice low miler too. Though not quite as low as mine.
That 309 is pornographic, and I may have to remove it and have you surrender all the images relating to it to me immediately! Seriously though, looks awesome, and will DEFINITELY look forward to seeing more of that!
Do you have any mods planned for the estate, or just keeping it sensible as the daily?

Hi Wingnutz, Sadly my other half has clocked the mileage up on the car now and it sits at 83K i only got the car back before xmas. Exterior wise the plans are just to lower it and put some cyclones on, replace the front fogs and new dealer plates too also to have powder coated the roof bars. The car has a few small niggly bits to do, however nothing major. I have just started a progress thread and getting to grips with this forum too.
As for the 309 well thats a show queen. it squints when the car see's daylight. I will post a few more pics once i have got to used to the forum settings.

Hi Eeyore, Thanks, the estate is a clean car. It has a few niggles like it needs a rear wiper motor that im on the hunt for, new driver seat as it rocks, a checkstrap in the rear door and the common injector rattle that needs addressing too. Other than that its a great car. I just hate the colour.
I have just started a progress thread. So any work i do i will pop in there

I prefer moonstone and china blue, this colour Provence Blue is awful. I don't buy cars because of their colour, it was the right car at the right price. It has been a fantastic car. It has couple of niggly things wrong with it but the car is getting on now.

Thanks Will, The estate is a nice car, i have actually got quite attached to it in a strange way.
As for the 309 is a great little car to drive it has Skip brown Engine in it that has had a little bit of head work and a cam. So its pretty revvy and willing. Im putting it on Throttle bodies later in the year hopefully if my funds will allow me so the car should go a little better.
