Most of my parts will be bought febuary onwards as I'm treating the 306 to some avo coilovers and Bosch pump so will have more 106 progress in the next month onwards. End of febuary I will have my new GTi rear beam and 50mm lowering springs. And end of this month I will have the plastic to make my door cards and a couple of blanking panels :)

I actually made a start on your axle today :)

Sweet! Put some pics up on here if you like be nice to see the progress on it :)

Just read the whole thread, so.e great advice here in track prepping the car. I have just bought a 6 purely for track use so have subscribed to this for reference. I'm recovering from my operation at the moment but give it a week or so and I'll be cracking on. Just ordered brembo discs all round, ds2500 pads and mocal oil cooler. Good luck with it

So got a set of wheels for the 106 super cheap they are raptors off the GTi and are actually really light all tires are good which is a bonus.

And to make things a million times better I was given these Silverstone semi slicks for Free! These are just under £500 new! They have a little life in them so will be great for FCS this year! Really happy with them Smile

Any tips of getting the spare wheel cage out? I can't unhook it so is it easier to cut the bar and unhook it that way

never removed one, is it not bolted into something on one side, or something?

If its like the 306 one, there is a 13mm bolt holding a plate on the 'non hook' side of the cage. It will be rusty as hell and probably shear off... lol

Make sure you spray it with penetrating fluid first, should be ok, I've only sheared one so far lol.
