the kit i have bought has come from ebay it cost £15
search "3d led cube"
it took about 3 weeks to get here and the instructions are useless to say the least
the sellers on ebay dont supply posted instructions only downloaded info from the ebay listing
its a good idea to download the instructions from a few sellers as you may be able to piece together there crap English translations into something you can undersland

building the cube bit is going to take some time!
im using a piece of perforated plate to keep the leds spaced the same
and im also making it with 2cm spacing between leds not the 1.5cm as per the board spacing
this is mainly down to more space to wheld the soldering iorn
[attachment=20832]
8 leds per row with 8rows per columb with 8 columbs to make the cube
[attachment=20833]
half of the first of 8 columbs

Hate to sound stupid but what does it do? I assume you can play with the programming and make light displays and shit?

purpose! why has everything got to have a purpose?
its an electronics Kit which is self assembly
so at the least it will improve your soldering skills and if you get it working it will be a bonus

soldered all the link wires from the cube to the circuit board and fired the cube up,
only to find its wired upside down and i have one 3 LEDs not working.
ive replaced 2 but the last one is in the centre of the cube
ive yet to work out how to replace it without destroying the cube
