Bought a replacement 'TDI' badge for the golf from halfords (first mistake), went outside and the letters have slid down the tailgate in the rain
What should I use to stick them back on? According to some folk on uk-mkivs the 3M emblem adhesive can melt the paint?
Cheers

My idea would be Spray glue or number plates sticky pads.

do not use spray glue. it will be stupidly messy. Use double sided tape as cully has said.

Number plate sticky pads, put it on the badge then trim the excess off with a craft knife,....failing that blu-tac obviously

If you never wanna take it off again there's a whole host of adhesives you can use. I used evo stik in my old gti haha

if you glue it on it will probably take the paint off if you ever remove them!
