Imagine the 106 has had the 16v fitted. Not talking handling, performance or anything.
But which is cooler ?
Ps: I know the result may be a forgone conclusion as I'm asking this on a 306 forum but hey ho

Id say the 106 as the 16v TU is a epic little engine.

106 for me. But in 1.3 guise.
106 just seems more rallye than the 306!

I think the Rallye name suits a 106 better and GTI suits the 306 better.

The 106 would be a rocket. The 306 rsllye does seem a bit half hearted but I still want one.

Half hearted? pfffffft!
I have owned both and yeah the 106 is IMMENSE fun but you soon realise the 306 is bigger and better although in standard guise is a little more clumsy in the bends.

106 seems to be winning. Tbh I almost bought an indigo s2 instead of the black Rallye when I was shopping for my "keeper". I don't regret it as I've always wanted my black Rallye and know where I am with a 306 (never had a 106) but I do still look on enviously!

I can see the 106 been a laugh to drive, in fact the ultra track car! My mates phase 1 saxo Vts was a vicious little thing.

I had a 106 GTI and I have to say it was far more fun than a '6, but uncomfortable and miserable on motorways. Until 65-70mph a '6 is no faster either.

106 for sure, hilariously chuckable little things, enormous fun.
But if it was a 3-way poll, the 205 would have won it.

Got to be the 106 for me, but then I am biased
Tbh anything with a rallye sticker makes me need to sit down, but then I'm a bit sad like that!

It's a shame they retired the badge. Can u imagine how it'd help peugeots cred with the young if they hit out with insane stripped out 107 and 208.

that would be mad!
Maybe with the 208 they could split the car up into 3 sections and put red yellow and blue at angles down the car.... not....

Personally I never want to own a 106.
They're tiny, my feet press down two pedals at once, they're not comfortable for the larger gentlemen yada yada yada.
In comparison the 306 is roomy, better built, safer, cooler, more engine options bla bla bla.
306 wins for me.

106s are pretty cool, vastly cooler in S1 guise IMHO...

Hence why i had an S1 106 rallye in black and kept it as a 1300
Shame i blew the box on it ad only had a shitty VTR box to replace it with :'( Sold it soon after that.

Always liked black S1's and they have to have the 1300 for me

I'm sure I heard rumours of a 208 R and 308 R, not quite a rallye but I thought they were going to be along roughly the same principles

Coz I would pick the 306 then...strange Having owned one, I'd still have the 106 unless I was doing loads of motorway miles. So much more fun down a back road through the dales, feels faster even though it probably isn't, except on really tight roads.
I'm a size 11 and I've never had much trouble with the pedals, great for heel and toeing I found.
