Can anyone help bit of a simple question:
I have a quick shift on the gti and I am sorting the linkages and length of the pivot point out today. I was wondering what way the bend faces on a standard shaft? Hopefully get sorted today before I leave

Sorry should be a little more clear... there is a slight kink at the end of the standard gearstick shaft

There isn't, you want to be a bit more gentle changing gear!
