Wanted: scrap XUD9 engine and gearbox - Manc ?
#1
Does anyone have a scrap XUD9 engine and a gearbox to go with it please?

Somewhere remotely close to Manchester. I'm happy to travel an hour in nay direction to come fetch it, possibly a little more.

Destroyed, rod through block, stuffed in some other way.
Ideally with the head & inlet, but don't need the pump, injectors, turbo (tho manifold would be handy) etc etc

Also with a gearbox attached to it. Just the housing, internals not needed.

This is just for sizing up for a swap into a Honda.
Hell, if you're crazy enough to loan me one that would do it Smile

I've been trying to buy a complete donor car but keep missing and TBH I just wanna get on with this project.
First step is fitting the engine. I've measured and it's damn tight. I want to know if I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Accord Aerodeck.

There is a much longer story with reasoning (it's not the first choice of chassis), but I'll save that for the project thread.

Thanks for the offers folks. Sounds like the sticky point is the gearbox so far.
I appreciate the posts, but I'd really like to try to hold out for a engine and box.

That said Ash, your destructo engine sounds about right for the job Smile
