hi guys,
just a quick one which is probably going to sound silly..
basically noticed an espace with a vented splitter in scrapyard while i was getting some parts for a corsa and decided ill have it..
i have never fitted a splitter before so was just wondering the best way to attach it and do i need to cut it down?
can it be attached the same as a gti6 splitter with clips and screws?
if anyone could help i would appretiate it
thanks all

I have an espace splitter on mine. Check my thread
To be truthful, I just used self tappers through it and the bumper, and that's held fine for ny-on 3 years now. It gets scraped a lot too...

Hold it on, maybe use some pegs if your by yourself and you will be able to see where it needs cutting.

Off each side!
Mark the centre with tape, do the same with the bumper, screw it on, then trim to fit with it on

Hold it on using mole grips or clamps, mark the position so that it is in the middle. Mark where your middle screw will go. Mark the ends.
Take splitter off, drill pilot holes using small drill bit.
Cut off ends.
Clamp back on, postion correctly, get on your back and get screwing
You could just trim it off the car and then screw it in almost all the way around and then cut of the excess with it on the car. Use a good hack saw. You can determine the shape better with it on the car, follow the curve of the bumper.

The plastic is so soft, you would get a better cut with a new Stanley blade than a hacksaw.

Or just a stanley knife, whenever
Its piss easy to cut, A hacksaw would leave you with burred edges, a knife, not so.

You can easily cut laguna/espace splitters with a sharp knife. I did it with a penknife...
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.
