right update time.
been waiting for 2 new wings and front headlight panels to arrive which got here today so thought i better do a little catchup
firstly i had to change the thermostat outlet to be able to feed water to behind the pump and one of the oil filter housing outlets, so xud7 purchased brand new £3
old
new
then did some trimming to a 205 gti strut brace and my front mount adaptor
also had a leaking fuel filter housing so to solve that rather than spend money again on another fuel filter did a nice quick fix with some wood screws, now its a tight as a ducks arse in water but will be changed once its all up running properly
then onto finishing the steering rack
subframe painted
new wheel bearings
also had to change the stop solinoid in the pump as it wasnt working
then fitted the starter and some wiring in preparation
also built another little roof extension on the garage as to keep the doors dry so i can paint them as they swell in the rain making it an arse to open.
then went and picked up my dads mig, not the best in the world but should do the job on the headlight pane;s just got to buy some gas for it as gasless is SHIT when doing bodywork.
thats it so far, hopefully be buying 2 new driveshafts, 2 new wishbones and a set of coilies so i can get the subframe back together and the car back on all four wheels
comments welcome as usual

little update made a start on the welding or should i say stevie wonder did, havent got the time to go and buy some gas for the mig so had to do gasless repairs and well its fecking disgraceful (not that i can weld anyway but gotta try lol)
its penetrated so thats all that matters for now just got to finish cleaning up and straightening the metal ready for the front to be done.
also got the brakes connected to the hubs ready for fitting
work is an absolute nightmare at the min so finding time is hard but once the wishbones and driveshafts are bought then i can get it back on all four and started

Next port if call is try advancing/retarding the pump see if that helps

I'd say more Fuel you useing accelerator why trying to start it?
What was the reason you rebuilt steering rack? Reason I'm asking is just putting drive shafts in mine yesterday and noticed some slight play in it.

Should still start half way in the slots. Wind the fuel in a bit or hold the throttle arm over when cranking, just goes easy incase it fires into life and goes for 6krpm!

Progress, as some of you know from the mids meet i finally got it started after a lot of fiddling with the throttle arm so know i can crack on putting it back together.
built the subframe back up and fitted it to the car with the hubs.
then went to see chris and collected a few bits inc. a spare wishbone, driveshafts, another converted gearbox and an inline fuel filter.
then after getting home i got a phonecall from my dads mate saying hes gonna scrap his van was i interested, £100 later this is down the unit with the head stripped while i find a replacement
i also broke the leon lol, water pipe split so gotta fox that aswell.
whilst shopping around 20mins from my house i found someone selling some brand new 206 fk coilovers for £60 so raced on over and collected them
fitted
and rallye steelies
brake clearance
fitted the other side tonight plus both driveshafts, need to get some new discs and pads to finish the running gear, and then carry on with the rest of it
also had to get a new outlet for the turbo and it also has the boost take off.
comments welcome as usual

No typo, the front shocks fit with 205 top mounts theres just no holder for brake hose can pick theses coilies up for 130 new as oppose to the cheapest 205 shocks being 240

Having a bit of a ballache at the minute got the lower engine mount on and back on all fours
But the 'bolt on' turbo i bought fouls the bulkhead so back up in the air and turbo off, in about 20mins lol
On the bench and welded the elbow back into a lower position
And refitted the new outlet
Now iv removed it from the manifold to turn the actual turbo a little and just need to weld that up and HOPEFULLY get it back on and running again
Comments as per
Ps. I no the weldings no better but it holds as i gave it hell with the big sledge lol
