Possibly because there's not as many bell-ends with racelands driving 106's lol. I bet a ton of the people in that study wouldn't know the difference between a modified car and unmodified unless it was heading for bosozoku, the massive number of chavs with fail-overs must have some impact on how people perceive the cars' ride, especially if they've not been in another.
