what does this plug do?

I found this plug behind the stereo, whilst trying to fix a dodgy steering wheel control it'll turn itself up when it feels like it. What does this plug do? It's 2 pin and brown. The stooooopid tablet hates uploading photos. I will upload a photo in a bit ;-)

i also have 2 plugs one for stereo and the other i guess for steering colum control

two small wires brown plug could be the feed plug to the alarm LED if it was fitted
