insurance group for gti6

In my experience its always been a few hundred quid more than hdi. Around 700 for me, 20yo, 2 yr no claims.

Its not the insurance that put me off but the fuel economy.

I think the xsi is wank. Get a 1.8 or a gti6. Or you could get a diesel.

Thought it was 15 for a gti6 and 16 for a Rallye.

Depends if your talking old or new insurance groupings. It used to go upto 20 or 30 and now it goes upto 50.

Well I know it was only about £20 more than the hdi for me to insure a gti6. 22yr 3 years no claims.

Ring for quotes for it though, as the insurance group isn't everything, for cars that have been available for a long time a lot of it is based on past claims data, so basically how many have been crashed.

6 is cheaper than the HDI for me
but i have the 6 on a limited milage policy

A 106 gti or saxo vts would have been more expensive to insure for me, presumably because everyone my age crashes them.

My 6 isnt to expensive on insurance 500 a year and im only 23, its the fuel thats the killer

Agreed, although my ph.1 is actually quite good on fuel compared to others I've owned.

My 6 is AMAZING on fuel it goes forever! Trusty steed
