Excess Insurance

Anyone heard of this? it's insurance for the excess on your insurance?...
So you could bump up the excess on your insurance to lower the premium then buy this to protect yourself Undecided

Sounds dodgy to me. Especially seeing as higher excesses normally only knock pennies off your insurance premium anyway unless your a new driver.

My sister has this through Flux, saved quite a bit on the premium to raise the excess as she's only 17. Wouldn't bother with it myself though, at our age it barely makes any difference as Niall says.

I normally find fully comp with a very high excess is cheaper than TPFT and gives you the added extras of fully comp
