(This post was last modified: 12-12-2013, 01:17 PM by ozonehostile.)
Times come to shift the 205 that I currently have in the way.
It's a 1995 miami blue mardi gras 1.8d, tax until Feb, mot not long after.
Bought it as a base for an engine conversion, but well, I just can't be bothered, well not for myself anyway. So here's the interesting bit....
I'm prepared to sell it with a variety of options that hopefully will interest a few people.
Firstly, sell it as it stands with a blown headgasket and whatever engine damage for £260. That's not making any money on it whatsoever, just my money back from the original purchase.
It is an incredibly tidy shell, no rust apart from a line about 5 inches long on the inner wing. Every 205 I've looked at has the same rust, nothing major atall. Could probably save it with wire brush and k-rust.
Other bad points of an otherwise mint 205 are the red bootlid (replaced by a previous owner, it's a decent boot with no dents or rust. Just the wrong colour) and a tiny dent on the corner of the passenger door where it's been opened too far, also a small scratch on the same side from what looks to be someone walking past with a handbag or something, would probably Polish out tbh
Next option. I sell it as it stands but with everything you need to convert to a 1.9 xud9te as originally intended. So that would be car +xud9te engine complete with 205 auxiliary setup like the coolant flange, 205 Dturbo Diff on an xud9 gearbox, modified thermostat housing, alternator.... The lot. Everything you would need to source yourself to a convert to an xud9te . Literally drop straight in
I'd be after £400 for this
I can also supply a bosch pump and turbo if that's required
3rd option. Someone wants to buy an xud9te 205 ready to go, I can do the engine conversion, get it running and ready for a new owner to get in and drive, obviously I would rather not as that's the whole reason for selling it, but if needs must...
If this interests anyone, I could build it to any spec you want as long as the appropriate money is offered.... I can source gti beams, big turbos, wheels, brakes whatever. You tell me I can probably get it
£offers
To summarise;
205 as it stands £260
205 with ready to bolt in xud9 conversion £400
Built to order 205 £offers
Hopefully someone will take it, be an absolutely epic sleeper or could polish up into a beast of a gti replica with some speedlines and trim pieces.
Pm me if you're interested and I'm sure a deal can be sorted that suits everyone

Bad times.. Seems fairly reasonable at £400 with everything required though.

Yeah I'm not out to make money on it, I just want someone to buy and and enjoy it. I'd rather break even knowing that it's going to be used than push for loads of money and end up scrapping it when no one is interested :-\

Fair enough.
Do you have means of transporting it or is it pure collection only?

Yeah it's a 3dr with sunroof, but only the Small pop up type, not the leaky sunshine roof that most 205s are plagued with

How much rust and is there any MOT left on it. I'm starting to anticipate mine failing the MOT badly.

The only rust on the car is on the inner wing, drivers side. Just along the join, about 5 inches long, not as bad as most 205s.
Erm the mot runs out either end of January or February, can't remember which

£260 for a 205 with a blown HG.
Does the odd boot come with it?!
In all seriousness; I paid 300 for mine with a decent engine and decent bodywork with reasonable
T&T
Slightly over priced.
Dead engine and shell is scrap value IMO

£300 for a 200k faded red 5 door ;-)
I'm sticking by my price on account of how tidy the shell is,
In the meantime I welcome you to try and find a tidier 3dr 205 for less money. If you do let me know yeah and il match the price
