I did try to do research but couldn't find anything I wondered if there is a way of telling what ecu came on what year hdi. Sorry I'm new to this hdi thing.

Yep if you read the sticker off the back of the ECU it'll tell you which one it is.

Yeah, look on the ecu, there'll be a ten-digit number under the bosch logo starting with 0 with the remainder split into groups of three as follows: 0 XXX XXX XXX. The last 3 digits of that number is your ecu number.

Thanks I just wanted to know how to tell if it has a Bosch one as I know they are easily mappable is it easy to see when going to buy one with out having to take out the ecu.

Its a 306 so itll be a Bosch EDC15C2 unless there is some uber bodgery going on.

Oh I see thank you for your help I wasn't sure if they did the Siemens on the 306
