Seems cheap really

worth the money imo
16-11-2013, 08:26 PM
That is well worth the money.
Especially seeing as they have had someone remove and re-fit the engine professionally since. Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he's missed a 1 off the front of the engine mileage.
As for professionally fitted. I used to be a mechanic by profession thus I am an ex professional mechanic.

Take the piss all you like wankers, it wont stop it being true.
From the oxford english dictionary Quote: engaged in a specified activity as one’s main paid occupation rather than as an amateur So as I used to be a paid full time mechanic I used to be a professional mechanic and so can safely call myself an ex professional mechanic. I dont see why this concept is so hard for people here to grasp.

17-11-2013, 10:52 AM
If that's the case then the word "Professional" is significantly devalued.
There's also doctors and surgeons who are "Professional" that f*cked up operations and people have died... Does that make "Professional" a good thing?

You all know that is a surprisingly effective and infact elegant temporary solution to the issue of not having the correct clamp or a working complete car to go and buy one.

But a professional would order the correct part as he/she would know that the correct part was designed in that way for a reason. So Dum, how long were you employed as a mechanic? And at what grade?

Part time while I was at college and then full time for 2 months after, gave up as im too tall and cant stand up straight under a car on a ramp so was getting a bad back.

I gotta admit those 2 jubilees are genius. BUT wouldnt it of just been easier to pay the 2quid for a clamp?
Doesnt even own a 306.

Just at this thread....
I'm sorry Chris, I love you, but that car was a combination of pikeyness and a death trap in the waiting. I was once paid to baby-sit children. Doesn't mean I am a professional child care worker. I am probably the last person fit enough to look after children, I can barely look after myself!
