Recommend Me a Toolbox

In the market for a toolbox as I have more than just the Halfords 120 piece set now and it's getting annoying making multiple trips to carry stuff.

I like the cantilever style ones, like this Clicky I want one with a big handle that goes across the top, which that doesn't have. eBay has thrown up a fair few but I have no idea what is any good and I don't want to buy shit.

I looked at the cantilever ones as well, but they all bought back memories of my old man's old metal cantilever tool box, on which the hinges rusted and made it really difficult to open/close, so I wouldn't recommend them on that basis, at least if you are gonna be storing them outside. In the end I bought a Stanley plastic one with metal hinges that lasted a couple of months before the hinges broke off, now I have to carry it everywhere with my arms underneath it So I know what not to recommend, but I would be interested in recommendations as judging from your suggestion you are looking for something compact but with a lot of storage capacity/different compartments which is what I need as well.

I should add, I don't have a garage and most of my tools are kept in my bedroom so something I can carry is needed.

I too have looked at them, the only thing that concerns me is the sliders, expensive roller cabinets have roller bearings for a reason and I can't help but think that non roller bearing sliders might get quite stiff to open and close after awhile.

Buy my Clio, it's cheaper than a snap on tool kit and it locks too.

I'd go for that one you linked tbh, if you don't store it outside (why would you) then there's really no worry about the hinges rusting, and it makes a nice compact unit.

Yeah....... A full on tool chest loaded up may prive difficult to get down the stairs

It'll go well with your set when you have a garage and can afford the matching roll cab.

I've had the top part of my Halfords roll cab for a decade and its still in perfect working order and it gets plenty of use and for that reason gets my vote, its probably lifetime guaranteed too.

Facom is really good quality to be fair. Usually a bit pricey though
