Current draw when locked
#1
Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has ever tested what their current draw is when the car is locked and the alarm is set etc etc.

I've been trying to chase down an issue where my battery goes flat if left for a couple of days. I was seeing 0.15amp draw all the time, which seemed a lot. Found a dodgey relay which was staying closed and drawing so swapped it out. I'm still seeing a draw, albeit a tenth of what it was. Now 0.015amp draw with it locked, alarm set etc.

Anyone?

0.05amp is about the max you want, 0.03 or lower ideally, so looks like yours is spot on.

That's fine mate. You will always get a slight draw. Stereo memory, alarm etc. If it's 0.015, that's fine!

I suppose, it's got a 54aH battery in it, so that's 150 days to totally discharge! Tongue
