basicaly I picked a ph1 sldt sedan up last night.
Original plans where to take the engine for the 205 and scrap/break the rest, but its to clean!
not sure which one to keep, I love the 205 but needs patches welding under back seats, I've got new 1.9 beam front springs/shocks + wishbones + droplinks, 1.9gti wheels all waiting to fit.
306 drives perfect, needs heater matrx I think, nothing for the mot.
I've got a set of vortex alloys, gti shocks + lowering springs kicking around so could look cool, and everything to front mount it.
parts for either got bosch sitting about, just don't know which one to sell/keep?!

I like this idea, won't have the resources for a bit though, no harm in sitting on it for a bit I guess

Despite really liking my 205 the 306 was more refined, comfortable, modern, easier to maintain and repair etc etc.

Yeah there is that, if your going to be doing a fair commute or a lot of miles then I'd go with the 306. I do naff all miles and my 205 usually has something wrong with it. Obviously being a newer car the 306 should have a better chance and as mentioned the 205's are starting to rust these days.

I'd say have both like I'm gonna, 306 for the commute and 205 for back road fun, but your commute is back road fun...

I can walk to work in 10 minutes, so very little commute, and the 306 is only a year and half newer

Yup had a moment of madness thinking about not keeping the 205.
This is the sedan
Needs a good clean but is solid underneath
205 way cooler
Will lower the front tomorrow I reckon
