As i have now got the turbo mounted on my engine it looks like 1 of the heater matrix hoses is going to be quite close to the exhaust elbow so i was wondering if there is anything that i can wrap around the hose to help protect it from the heat?

if you wrap your manifold and exhaust it should keep the temps down enough to keep your heater pipes safe, I never had problems with my turbo setup passing mm's away from coolant hoses

I have a piece of bracket going down from the intercooler bolt to keep the pipe away as I found it was actually resting on the turbo hot side
looked like it had been like that for a long time!

not going to do much but reduce the air gap between the pipe and the exhaust. I suppose you could suspend the pipe inside it... something that wouldn't conduct the heat like mad would also be an idea.

zip tie it out the way or something
I can testify that even with heat wrap, exhaust manis can produce enough heat to melt pipes

Get another matrix hose, cut it lengthways and slide it over, will offer alot of protection.

Might see about putting some more pipe around it. Cheers for the ideas guys!
