yeh, it was just unfortunate i guess. Perhaps future dyno's we should warn them that there is going to be smoke, are the still prepared to run as stated.

Defo.
shame for you guys.
I would want a refund.
Seem to lack a bit of torque there Ginge...??
Im looking for a decent RR to setup the 2.1 in August...was hoping this be good...but seems a let down again.
Anyone know a decent one near me?! Round Swindon way/Gloucester etc

I would no way in hell pay even near full price if I was 'kicked off a dyno for being too smokey'

This is annoying, you are paying them for a service they should bloody well give you that service! I know what it feels like though, when you are in a garage in the company of Imprezas, Lancer Evos and various fast Japanese cars it is very hard to "demand" stuff when you have a diesel. Especially when the people are friendly as well. When I got my car dynoed they did exactly as I asked but if they hadn't I wouldn't have felt able to pipe up about it.

I don't think you can compare this dyno to the one at Thruxton, the guy was a million time better, the dyno set up was spot on. Granted, he didn't particularly like the smoke, but he still gave the cars a fair run imo.
And he wasn't too bothered about the nad pissing out almost half a litre of oil all over his work shop and dyno.
Anyway, can't really be arsed to write out a full reply but basically, I was mostly impressed with the guys there, and we didn't have to pay full whack, it would have been 40 quid as there was less than 11 people rolling.

Tbf the guys were sound. Really good day and very well setup dyno. And one of the most accurate I've seen. I'd definitely go there again.
Can understand the fact of single runs due to coal. Doors had to be shut to reduce the noise, and it just filled the work shop. Extractors working full power and still filling the work shop lol. So yeah can understand the coal annoyance
