Actual age: 23
Physical age: mid 40s..... (years of neglect, I wake up and my back and legs are crocked, more metal in my teeth than actual teeth!) yet still look much younger than 23 Mental age: my boot size :p I'm one of the older on here yet on 406oc I'm almost the youngest!
22, dunno how iv made it this far.

Hmm, some interesting people to compare myself to here. Age: 23. Shoe size 10/11 (probably closer to mental age). Residence: Still at home (not by choice). Ever had a proper job: No. Things done with life: very little, often as a result of circumstances out of my control. It kind of makes me angery to see people of my age already experienced modders with proper jobs and stuff.

Heh, you make me feel inadaquate, I only started playing with cars properly when I was 21. I could only dream of doing what you are doing at only a year older! Damn, people grow up quickly these days.

I don't know I guess just the fact that you seemed to know what you were doing really well. And maybe some of your posts made you come across as really mature/cynical.

I know what you mean, Ozone does seem pretty adept at doing what he does but I'm sure he started the same as me, just having a go at things and improving.
I started by servicing mine after my mate showed me what to do, now I've done a turbo change, completely stripped a car, axle change, etc. All because I just had a crack at it. Admittedly, I usually have my mate helping me but still, I've learnt by just cracking on.

21 but unfortunately look about 17. I can grow a beard but it has a ginger tint in the light and so I don't. Can't win!

suppose i had a bit of an advantage as my old man used to build rally cars and restore historics, so grew up with old sierra cosworths, imprezas and mk2 escorts plus the odd muscle car. my first diesel was a 306 nad, blew it up within 20 mins of ownership as i was used to fast petrols, then after that disaster bought a 405 dturbo and was amazed after a little research at the potential and tunability of the xud, been at it ever since, saying that ive only been into putting lorry turbos on a 306 since about august last year

Heh, I know bud. I was terrified when I first changed a wheel cylinder. I don't have any car people in my family so it was really hard I had to do so much research for even the slightest thing! Now I can change one in an hour. (28-06-2013, 08:20 PM)MRiches Wrote: 21 but unfortunately look about 17. I can grow a beard but it has a ginger tint in the light and so I don't. Can't win! I bought my XUD back in 2009 but I have never had a proper job it's just that now I am doing a lot of overtime for my part time saturday job that I can afford to start playing a bit. Oh yeah and my student loan helped! That got me lowered and a Bosch conversion and half leather interior.
