Where do people run this? Through the bulkhead and interior or under chassis??

do most drop the battery in a tub in the spare wheel centre?

They run thru the bulkhead

Then the main cable is long enough to fit the battery either behind the passenger seat or at the rear of the boot area

No all you need to do is run an earth from the neg terminal of the battery to a clean secure place on the body. At the engine bay end, any earths that went straight from something to the battery (alternator for example i think), you just need to run these to the body. Theres no point in running a earth wire all the way back as the whole body is an earth so make use of that!

As above

Kit includes two earths
One to go from battery to a bolt on body
One to go from the starter bolt (same place normal battery earths) to the body

Never being a fan of that way!
Cable is far more flexible than a BRAKELINE if one support clip gets damaged the cable hangs down and you run the risk of snagging it and loosing power.

All cables are 135amp continuous which is fine for both diesel and petrol, have used it many times to connect winches up on landies

Am I missing the point here or could you just rip the wires out of a bmw? Seems as though they have the battery in the boot as standard

You could yes but then you end up with a cable the wrong length, designed for a BMW with allots electrics and so is at least double the thickness you need and so also far heavier than required, weight is bad particularly when building a track car

Have to over spec it, as when its cold etc you need more cranking power for longer

Nope just telling it how it is.

If people want to strip them out of a BMW then use a cable that is far thicker, heavier and longer than you need then that's up to them.

But if they are moving the battery to the boot they are normaly doing it to even up the weight distribution so don't want to be adding loads of extra cable
