The 'bar bit' is for self cancelling the indicators.

I've only changed a steering wheel with the horn on the steering wheel before. So then the wiring needed doing etc.
But on the 306 it has the horn on the stalk so will it still work or any changes needed to the wiring? thanks.

If its the same spline size I see no issues with it

Only issue would be airbag wiring, as long as there's a hole in the boss for the plug to fit through you'll be fine.
