Vacum pipe snapped

So noticed this and not sure how long it has been like this and got no idea what its for



Anyone have an idea what its purpose is?

Its to the left of the engine bay at the side of the brake fluid res

That's for the egr nonsense, don't worry about it. Block off the pipe and it'll be fine.
