I went to see this today which is being sold by a trader and gave an offer of £700 which was refused not sure if it was worth more what do you think should I have offered more?

£995 Mileage 103,000 miles

Peugeot 306 HDi D-Turbo 2.0 Rare 3door. 1 Owner From New, Last of this shape being a 2001 Y-reg. Tax End April 2013 and MOT May 2013. Covered 103k which is low for age and this type of car. Has a few niggles hence low price please read the advert fully and look at pictures. Firstly dent on front passenger wing and rear 1/4 panel (see pics), Front bumper has a few scuffs, Drivers electric window does not work, and thats it really. Drives well, Hpi Clear, Grp 5 Insurance, Economical and very sporty looking with the factory GTi Bodykit and Alloys Wheels, Pas, Abs, E/Mirrors, Aircon, etc.. Hpi Clear. NO Swaps or px.









The good bits.
The car runs very good and brakes and steers ok and is also hpi clear.
Drivers door dent should push out ok maybe also the wing.
With a few things fixed it should go through MOT OK.

The bad bits.
Injectors tap to about 3000 rpm
There appears to be pools of oil around injectors does not smell like diesel.
Drivers window regulater needs replacing.
Rear reg plate lights are broken
fascia over Fuse's below steering wheel is missing and glove box lock or probably door needs replacing.
No service history or other documents Reg and MOT present.
Only one key.
Rear bumber has small split below dent.
AC is not working.
Front badge broken.
Color coded cover on drivers door mirror missing.

With what needs doing I wouldn't offer more than you did mate. Quite low mileage but quite a few bits need doing.

Edit: in fact reading it again I probably wouldn't offer that much.

Yeah, That's about the right price TBH.

The trader thinks he can spend about £250 on the bodywork and then get 1.5K for it.
I thought I could have got it for it £750 but wasn't sure if I was already over the odds at £700.
When the injectors leak should it smell of diesel I wasn't sure if the heat of the engine burns the fumes off or is just spilt engine oil?

The wing won't push out as mines the same, replacing only. £350 max then walk away

bit high TBH mate i only gave £300 for mine with MOT tax 93k on a W2000,it needed a shocker and water pump (£50) and no body damage.

Haha, that trader is dreaming.

Basically no MOT left, and it won't pass the next MOT.

It's worth about £350 tops really.

There are better examples out there imo.
