Try the sachs kit

people say it's good for stage 2 but wouldn't go any further with it

It is sometimes listed by Sachs as a Citroen Berlingo part, but it is fully compatible with a 306 HDi.

The kit cost me £154.87 from an online retailer. They even personally guaranteed it to take up 280lb/ft, and said they would provide a replacement if it began slipping within 12 months.

Here are the pics that I took of my before I fitted it:

Please feel free to rep me Wink

Sachs wont guarantee any power/torque outputs with these clutches; their just good quality oem clutches. A few folk claim sachs have guaranteed they will be good for 280lbs/ft but i doubt they would do that with an oem clutch, they couldnt even guarantee my paddle! They said it should be good for 300lbs/ft but no guarantee however i do believe this clutch can hold 280lbs/ft, for how long im not sure, which is why i went paddle

Helix do an uprated clutch for these, non paddle, its around £380 all in, when i called them they told me it was only rated to 260lbs/ft!! They do a paddle too but its quite an expensive do.

I'd definately recommend one of these kits for £100

Just got a call back from them and they said the paddle should take a lot more, but couldn't give me a price? And I imagine that takes a bit of getting used to driving wise!

Its a bit pricey... £230 iirc. And that's just for the paddle plate. I bought the Sachs kit that's on this thread to use the release bearing and cover from.

Its not too bad, just a lil snatchy but its great for gear changes when driving like a loon. They don't take long to bed in either

Ah okay. so you bought the above clutch (£100) and then you changed the organic plate for the paddle plate.. that straight swap? So I could use the above clutch then if it starts to slip then just get a paddle plate fitted on it?
