Wrong mist jets?

Just bought some most jets and fitted them but they spray right at the very bottom of my window.. These aren't adjustable so where have I gone wrong?

You bought the wrong ones. You want the ones with the part number ending 'v8'. Something like 6438 V8 iirc.

Or.. go to the scrappies, find a Xsara, put jets in pocket.

How do you get them out of scrap cars though? I kept breaking them so just bought some new ones lol.

Erm, same way you take the old ones off your 306? Under the bonnet there's two barbed bits you pinch together and push the jet out..?

I know your mechanical skills are woeful Tom but even Eli managed to do a guide on them

I smashed the old ones off with a crosshead screwdriver and hammer from underneath....plastic clips and I really dont get on well. They werent servicable after I'd removed them....

Whats different between them ones and the xsara ones I have? :/ if theyre definitely the ones ill get them but already 6quid down on some mist jets :p

The difference is how they are aimed
Picasso ones aim lower down on our cars because of the difference in height of the windscreen the ones from the xsara are a better match and cover the whole windscreen

Is this something i could complain about on the link i put up of the ones i bought as i was told they would be good for a 306 fitment but theyre not..?

Whether they supply the ones with that number though or just chuck any old mist jets in hoping you don't notice is a different matter!

The difference is how they are aimed

its the angle of the bonnet
the aiming is pre set in the jet plastic moulding

xsara is a car type shallow angled bonnet
xsara picasso is a people carryer steep angled bonnet

Exactly! I orderd some from pug and they ended up sending me the other ones and it wasnt untill i fitted them that i noticed lol

i had the same problem with peugeot
i took the correct numbers down an they still gave me the wrong ones in a open parts bag
had to take them back and they replaced them with an unopened bag with the correct numbers

One of my mist jets has recently adjusted it aim lol completely over the screen probably needs a blasting through and a clean

I couldn't get mine from Peugeot....they sent me round to Citroen instead! I did get the right ones first time there though.

Peugeot do sell them, they come on the 307, thet probably just couldn't be assed

No they just didn't have any in stock at the time lol. But their computers are linked to Citroën sovthey could see thier stock level.

Just ordered some new ones. getting the hump with mine pointing at the bottom of the windscreen lol

I got them exact ones off that eBay link with the 6438V8 number, fitted them yesterday and they're spraying the bottom part of my screen too, should have double checked really but the ones they sent me came in a little baggie with Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and 1 other logo on but no mention of Citroen or Peugeot. Still clears the screen but just a little too low for my liking.

Mine are absolutely perfect and cover the entire screen.

I stoled them from a Xsara in a scrappy.

Stop wasting your money on "will they, wont they" washer jets and go and get some yourself, FFS.
