Breaking - China 306 Meridian Estate!!
#1
Morning.

Well, as of Wednesday 20th the MOT and insurance will be up on this car and I'm breaking it (this isn't up for discussion).

If anyones interested in parts, let me know, either through here, PM or facebook message.

W reg (2000) and just ticked over 123,500 miles - and yes I was sad enough to take a pic of 123,456 miles lol. It's not in the best condition, but after looking through ebay, most bumpers have scuffs/cracks and half leathers all seem to have bolster wear so I'd say it's about average wear for the age/milage. I will tell you the exact condition and take more pics of parts as and when I remove them (starting Wed's weather permitting).

Almost everything available including half leathers, cyclones, swallows, Eibach springs/GTi shocks/recent top mounts, splitter, remaining working engine parts (head/injectors/new aux pulley/airbox/TIP, maybe turbo for cheap but would need rebuild), gearbox, 266's with 4k old discs and pads, electric wing mirrors (caps are scuffed badly though), silver dash/centre console, 4 spoke leather steering wheel, wiper motor/arms/aerotwins, clocks, lights, beam possibly, etc.

Parts not available - clutch, exhaust cat or backbox (midbox may be salvageable), rear quarter lol, front part of centre console, drivers door handle, engine sensors, hubs (unless you want to replace the bearings), main dash (unless you want a shit one to cut up for a project), headlining, angel eyes (as I know they're worth f*ck all anyway I'll keep them for now).

However, I'm doing this one differently to the Golf, I'm only taking off things I can sell - so if you want doors or engine block (inc rods/pistons) or anything like that you'll have to say before the shell gets scrapped with them. Dash parts and small items I'll keep for a bit longer though, and stick most things on ebay...

This is a money making excersize, so no I'm not giving things away for peanuts. Just wanted to give you guys first refusal. Smile I can post/courier things at cost to you, but not posting large things like bumpers, gearbox, beam etc lol.

Most recent pics -

I think the saddest part about it is that at 123,333 miles I reset the trip meter so that would read 123.4 as the milage read 123,456. lmao

I'll have all the trim screws from the dash around the clocks and the steering column, also the ones that hold in the radio stalk. I managed to misplace half of mine and now everything rattles Big Grin

The light - £15 + post (£8 by 48hr courier, unless you know of a cheaper courier/post service).

Side skirts, £40 + post (about a tenner I guess, cant be sure until they're off though).

Might be able to combine the postage if I'm clever with packaging. Smile

Clock plugs no problem. Fiver the pair?

Yes it has remote flap release, I'm not sure how much is involved in the full kit? I assume its the handle, cable, and 'something' at the flap end. You can have dibs on it, but I'll wait and see whats included before stating a price. Smile

What the main dash? Its a bit knackered, glovebox has been ripped out, passenger airbag cover doesnt sit flush, the bit under the fusebox has been broken in half and many of the fixings have been broken - signs of a bad matrix change I reckon! If you still wanted it, I guess £15?

No, the newer estates have manual filler flap.

And no its a W reg, so is the 'shit' meridian lol. No rear leccys, and the cheaper non airbagged, thin headrested seats. Theres a few other bits 'missing' as well compared to an X reg onwards.

Right, now its had a wash I've photographed areas of interest. Bear in mind I'm quite anal about bodywork so I've photographed scrathes etc for you to make your own decision on how bad they are. Feel free to PM me sensible offers, dont have to ask for prices first if you already have a price in mind. Smile

Bonnet - Some chips and a slight crease at the front.

Grill - ok from front, but crack around the bolt

NS mirror - scuffed

NSF door - not too bad tbh, some edgewear

NS Skirt - good, one yellow mark

Tailgate - lost paint under wiper

Rear bumper - seen a lot of obstacles I think!

OS mirror - scuffed

OS Skirt - good

Cyclones - a few kerb marks, but original paint, look good with some elbow grease and cleaner!! Yes the chrome peugeot caps are included. Tongue

1 - Marshall Matrac, plenty of tread, minor kerbing

2 - Marshall Matrac, plenty of tread, a few marks, worst wheel I'd say.

3 - T-1R - 2mm in the centre 3/4s, but sod all edge left as I like corners... (I know they're bad, dont need posts about them) Some kerbing.

4 - T-1R - 2mm centre 3/4s, but again, no outside edge, some kerbing.

Half leathers, drivers seat has bolster wear but not 'quite' split yet! These are non airbagged seats, and have thin headrests, ignore the snow on the seat lol. Doorcards ok.

4 spoke leather wheel. Surprisingly small amount of wear compared to the rest of the car!

Knob - not much wear here.

Silver dash - no issues here.

tom might be worth stating which ECU it has as someone might want ECU/BSI/RCL/IMMO lock set

I thought about that, however the boot lock doesn't work (seized), the glovebox lock is broken (been forced open I think) and the buttons on the keys are worn out.

Its a 592 ECU with a stage 1 map though, if anyone was interested. Also, wheres the BSI? Can't think I've ever seen it?

you dont need the key locks as most people only want the immo system Wink
bsi is a black box with two plugs behind the clock low down in the centre dash also controls the central locking and alarm if fitted

Oh right, so they keep their own blades you mean?

And ok, I'm sure I'll come across the BSi then!

Fair enough, no worries. I've gotta say though, unless that's something like a 14 day courier they're not gonna get much out of those sales, so if they're BIN prices you better get them asap! lol
