gas convertion

sorry didnt know were to put this. just wondering if anyone know about the gas covertions. my dad has a 1.4 escort van witch has been converted. it has a full tank of gas but for some reason will not work. just wondering if anyone could shed some light.

its has a button with a red light and 3 green lights think its for the level of gas in the tank. sometimes it lights up and other it doesnt. he has tried turning on the switch for the gas but it does nothing

Maybe some useful information would help, like the type of gas installation, how it is managed, where the injectors are and what type, is it a new system etc.
