I was expecting the car to fail on these, but here goes,

O/S Headlamp beam incorrect
O/S Headlamp insecure - Due to running a deer over lol
Parking brake lever has no reserve travel
N/S/R Parking brake recording little or no effort
O/S/R Parking brake recording little or no effort
N/S/R Parking brake grabbing severely
N/S/R Brake recording little or no effort
O/S/R Brake recording little or no effort
Parking break efficency below requirements *DANGEROUS*
Front brakes imbalanced *DANGEROUS*
N/S/F Brake disc in such a condition that it is seriously weakened

Great excuse to put a GTI Brake set up on which ive ordered. Should keep me busy for the next few weeks.

The Saga Continues!

And you didnt notice any of this when driving it? Not being rude, but its kinda things you should keep an eye on/notice through use of the vehicle... Its quite a severe list of braking issues there...

I literially got back from Australia before christmas, so driven it around a few times and noticed it was fairly bad, infact very bad, so just MOTed it so i know the score Smile couple of hundred quid and a days work i reckon

Lol that would do it. Saying that, i had no handbrake for 6 months, left it in gear everytime i parked it, and it ran off on the starter motor one day! haha

like it did here

Haha, i always park in gear anyway. Before i went to Oz the handbrake wasn't ship shape, but leaving handbrake on for a year is never going to do it any favours. On the other hand, i put a new battery in it and the engine started first time no probs!

Edit*

Just read your thread.... i think ill stop parking it in gear haha

I've seen 5 pages before, that was on an old Zodiac my mate pulled out of his grandads garage, it kept stalling on the way there with 15 year old petrol in it lol

Atleast all the problems are over lapping, so its easier to fix than if they were all completely unrelated faults Smile
