Anybody got any ideas?
#1
Right first things first, went out yesterday to sort the car out, dismantled half the engine to get to the spark plugs, checked I was getting a spark etc Bosch Super-4's not getting a spark at all so ripped them out put old plugs back in getting a spark again perfect. Stand on engine cover, break said engine cover, dropped my socket set on my foot, cursed alot blah blah blah.

While putting it back together I noticed a creamy deposit on what I think is either a breather tube, vacuum tube or something else on the bottom of the airbox...Anybody any ideas on what it could be, it's fresh but it's got me f*cking puzzled I did think possible HG failure as I had the same creamy deposit on the oil cap a few weeks back but it's not using oil or water and not overheating and said deposit has now gone out of the oil cap...Anyone shed some light on the situation?

car being used for lots of short journeys while cold
looks like condensation build up in the breather tubes emulsifying with the oil

the only way to get it out the tubes would be to remove them and flush them

you might find one is blocked forcing the oil up into the airbox
if not the oil might be a sign of worn rings Sad

Bollocks. If it's rings I'm going to resign myself to the fact that I seem to destroy cars...This will be my 4th car in less than 8 months!!!

I think you destroy cars - I've seen the list of cars you've had lol.
But yeah what Cully says - blocked breather pipe
