Wanted: Flue pipe and other oil burner bits.
#1
I'm looking for a decent length of Flue pipe for my waste oil burner build. Need about 4 metres, can be in 1m lengths.

I also need some form of regulator to control the flow from a gravity fed tank into the burner. Smaller pipe size the better, but needs to be able to flow cold oil at approx 1 drip per second.

Also, a wire type Fire-guard to place around the burner as it'll be glowing hot.

Need these bits asap, can collect from locals or Ace cafe. (I'm in surrey and hants)

make it !
i have before
block of alloy threaded bar and a valve handle Wink
drill through the block 4mm.
drill 10mm @ 90 degres into and past the 4mm.
drill and tap m8 into the 10mm via the 4mm.
grind point on 8mm threaded bar.
the point sits into the 4mm hole restricting the oil

Not as stupid as £120 for 10m from Travis or PTS. Too much money, too much excess. Too many litres of FREE oil to burn. Rather have second hand stuff and spend less y'know.

Getting a bit chilly in the workshop is is fella?

I know this feeling lol, not sure if this is inspired by my rig or not, but i just converted an old boiler to run on waste motor oil, it just feeds directly from a 2000l tank which i put all my waste oil in, and also heats water for hot tap and a couple high output fan rads, keeps the workshop toasty and gets rid of the otherwise unwanted oil!

Noo, I didn't know you had one darren, although thinking about it I remember vaguely something on the other forum.

The inspiration stemmed from - 'what the hell am I going to do with the 500litres of oil taking up room in the corner?' - I also though about heater water, but just one step at a time for now.

As a temp solution it's running from a paint spray gun, still lots to do, get propper regulator on there, weld on hinges for the door. Drill another hole for forced induction

I found Flue pipe... Wikes. £6 for 4 metres.
