Ok whats the worse car you have ever owned??
i have 2 1st a citreon ax 1.4d bought this in haste after my little 205xs was written off when your use to a car going like a stabbed rat it was a bit of a let down when you stuck ya boot down in the ax and it did nothing but that wasnt the worse probelm oh no

1. the wipers were either off or debatable
2. you could only get it to 65mph and that was down hill with a tail wind
3. i had to eject my tapes (remember them ) with a pen
4. the heater packed up in the middle of winter finally fixed that after a trip to my mates and i looked like frosty the snowman by the time i got there (had to drive with the window open to stop it misting up)
5. the head gasket went twice in 7 mths (second time it went i got rid)
6. you had to brake 5 miles before you needed to otherwise you wouldnt stop
7. the clutch went
8. i have sat on more comfy concreate floors
9. the previous owner was a heavy smoker the roof was yellow!!!!!
10. i had to rig the fan to run permantly to keep it cool only problem was it nealy always flattend the battery whilst waiting for the glow plugs to heat up
11. the battery was knackerd

and a whole host of other issues
my second worse was a 1993 K reg 1.8 Sierra had it 8 days and decided to blow up on the m1

Worst car I've ever owned was a black citroen zx advantage 1.9 n/a diesel! I broke it in the end; the cv joinst snapped on me coming back from college one day and it was too much hassle to fix!
The best car is easily the '6

Does the Grande punto I rented for a week in Spain count?

If so, its that, if not, then the worst car i've actually owned is my 1996 306 XRDT, dull and slow!

Worst car has to be the ph1 Gti6 i sold to Curt on this forum (hope he doesn't see this)

The problems i had with that, dodgy gearbox, put some sawdust in that before i sold that so curt will never know.
Also had to use a hammer to get the bumper to line back up after someone went into the back of me. But the bumper hides all the damage oh yeah and all the rust...

Hitchos Wrote:will see mate the reflexes arnt what they use to be lol Yeah that's true when I first tuned my beast I found myself going around corners faster than intended because of the sheer mentalism of the increased power. Also you've got to watch out for torque steer when accerating in the lower gears because at full throttle it will LITERALLY try to pull you into oncoming traffic.

I've only had the best car in the world so far (306 ) but my old man has had some real dogs. Once he had a Toyota Lucida which was a total shitter. Brake calipers stuck on, drank oil as well as diesel, turbo on the way out, totally unsafe in a crash, general piece of shit etc.

This is the funny part: He sold it to some dodgy dealer and months later he got some African bloke calling him up complaining that it was a total shit piece! Yeah that was why he got rid of it in the first place mate! Haha! Apparently the geezer had found his mobile telephone number in the car and decided to call up and complain, like my dad was going to know/care :?

Probably my first car, a '93 Fiat Uno 1.0 with a 4-speed gearbox. Was a real education in cars, HG went twice, clutch went, sills were made of Isopon and Daily Mirror, all the lights decided to die at 2am on the way back from a gig in Derby, green and purple interior, NO power...

1999 Vectra GSI, Weirdly the most expensive car I've ever owned aswell. Looked and sounded great(IMO)but was a complete money-pit of a thing...hubs,flywheels,gearboxs,sensors and loads of other bits that I can't remember. Eventually it commited suicide-by-cambelt and I took a 6k hit selling it on as spare-or-repair.

		worst car i bought
was a right dog it was a clocked 2ltr diesel vectra had it just long enough for the logbook to come back in my name then traded it in

a month later trading standards came knocking on my door asking about the car turned out it had done over 200k miles and only showed 80k on the clocks the trader who sold it went to court for numerous sales offences and i believe he did time

Um, all my cars except the champagne have been pretty appalling, but I love them all so wouldn't want to name a worst. Scenic was a crash magnet, silver one's let me down continually, cabby cost me most money and 106 has got the most problems (although that's debatable compared to the cabby [also don't tell dum-dum in case he still wants to buy it]). Actually that reminds me, new thread time...

well ive only had the 306 1.4 and the 1.8.

The 1.4 was brilliant fun as a first car but comparing it to the 1.8 is no comparison...

the clutch doesnt feel like its connected to anything... more kind of an on off thing than anything. Also I think the gearbox actually isnt connected to anything. no resistance changing gears at all!
