I need help with choosing a laptop..

I have a budget of £400 MAX, and will be using it mostly for internet browsing, doing college assignments and storing pictures.

I want it to last for as long as my current one has done, It's an acer extensa 5620 that I've had for 5 years now and it still works fine, just knackered battery and it's been dropped once or twice. Blush

Not sure wat u can get 4 that little but dell hav always done me well, u may b able 2 get an Inspiron 4 that! That's wat I had years ago n that was spot on! Lol iv now got a dell XPS Big Grin but my dad got me that, he won't tell me how much it was but think it was close 2 the £1000 mark! Lol

my Toshiba one is fantastic mate, can get for about 300 now and runs sweet, never lags or crashes, want me to find model code when im in?

Carl how do torsion bars work, what's the LDA for, how do I adjust a turbo, can I fit two top mount intercoolers together to make a front mount, help me change my engine please, how do I take the bumper off..

I found hp to have good specs for low prices when checking them out starting uni. www.ebuyer.com is good site to check out for laptops/other bits
