cyclones direct fit??
#1
Hi guys, just been and brought some cyclones. I've always wanted a set of cyclones, and my mate told me there of a gti but will be direct fit on my 1.4 meridan, i went to try one on, the holes lined up perfect, but the steel ring around the centre part of the disk brake didn't fit into the alloys Sad does this mean i need wheel spacers?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge describing it.

cheers.

they are a direct fit, you may need to buy some flat styled bolts to secure them on though.

as long as your brakes are not bigger than 283mm they should be fine

Should go straight on as far as I'm aware!

I thought they would, I push them on, got one wheel nut in, and try get another nut in diagnal but it pivets on the steel :/ I measured the centre it of the cyclone it was 65mm and on the car couldn't get a good measurement but was around the same, it just doesn't seem to push back.

I tryed a bolt in the cyclone was exact same shape and enough thread on the nut.

they are straight fit . . . .but you will need the proper flat seated bolts, not sure what your problem is . . .Smile

You've had aftermarket wheels on there? Yes

Not left the spigot ring on the hub have you?

I would just clean up the hub lip and the center of the wheel, with some sandpaper, bit Of copper slip and push them badboys on

Yeah but a bit of sandpaper on it. Had steelies on before? Will be a build up on crap on the centre from where the steelies have no middle. I had it on mine

You need the flat type else you'll risk pulling them through the alloy!
I had a set for sale but sold them with my cyclones!
Can pick them up easy enough tho!

Donr take the risk with them nuts as it will reck the bolt holes on the clones and they will be usless for anything

Alright again guys, just tryed fitting an cyclone again and still no success, I took my alloy off, and sanded the hub down, sanded the cyclone part down, and even got a file out on the hub cause there were a few ridges around it, and still won't go on? I can get 2 wheel nuts in and that's it, it pivvets of the hub, it seems there's only a few mm in it, any ideas ?? Sad

Helppppp pleaseeeeee!!!!
