I've found Citroen and Peugeot in Wednesbury to a bit overpriced and basically just a breakers with stuff off the shelf. But may be convenient if you don't mind paying and haven't got the time. For example wanted £40 each for rear callipers.
Hoppers is your best bet as a traditional scrap yard you can get involved in with decent prices. a (03-10-2012, 11:54 PM)ash240970 Wrote: Right there are these 2 places that although they are not strictly Central Birmingham area they specialise in what you're after.......

Yeah expensive but off the shelf usually is. Convenience and time constraints are factors you cannot always choose to overlook

just rang Hoppers, they quoted £60 for a 4 stud drum bean, in serviceable condition. sounds good enough to me!

hoppers are being bumholes, they're saying they are really busy and dont when they'd be able to get the beam off, and they're saying to go there in the morning when they open and see then if they have the time to get it off, or they'd be able to say when they'd can have the the time.
dont want to mess you about Dan, and have you go down there and have them say they haven't had time to remove it and come back in three hours or whatever... totally unsure of what to do now tbh Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club

how about we go down there and just remove it ourselves, do u need handbrake cables? wudnt take long

i might just get one from the breakers down here, and then get a lift up or fork out for the cash to drive the volvo up with the beam, then back, then get the bus to bring the 106 back.
thing with getting one from hoppers is they only have one in, and its f*cked, then im f*cked... waiting on word back to see if i can get a lift up in a derv to make the fuel bill slightly cheaper... damn cars. Member of the 99% warning or you're nothing club
