South? Theres barely ever meets here anymore either!

Only meets i know of are Ace (London) or Bristol area down here. Same with almost every forum I'm on though, EA members don't seem to want to meet up anymore. Sad However you get easily 200+ cars turn up to the local cruises. Confused

We meet all the time, London lot and south coast lot do anyways. Ace every month, and I try to put to together a Bournemouth meet, everyone is game, then don't show. Although the last one was well short notice.

At OP there must be a few members your way, why not try sticking a thread up organising a meet?

There aren't loads of EA meets, there used to be loads when nick was organizing them!! But all the old members have disappeared and we don't seem to get any new ones round here lol, theres always more people from the 6 forum than this one at the meets Jamma does now. The Norfolk people do their own meets, the old'uns don't come anymore (Nick, chapperz, CAR, etc) so really it just leaves me SRowell and Bearben lol.

Closest now is probably Ace, which I couldn't afford the fuel even if I could do the distance. But as I said, it's the same on mkiv's, 106oc, saxp etc....just seems like EA members on any forum aren't really bothered about meeting up. Only exception is DubGen where we get about 20ish cars meeting at a pub carpark in town each month.

What do you mean there's no northern meets? I've arranged a few, always with a decent turnout, at this one earlier on this month there was me, Mattcheese31, danny2009, rippthrough, jenksowls, Pete, cromptons, Alee83 and a couple of others I think...

I was gonna arrange another for the first Monday of September because the RR meet we tagged on to is a regular one on the first Monday of each month but I'm on holiday this time, why not take over and organise it yourself for this month?

Perhaps the need for area rep's could be an idea then to get some organisation and ideas across??

I've demanded Scott make me the Scotland rep but he's a twat and ignored me.

I feel the pain of no meets though, Glasgow's much further north than the next most northernly regular who I thin is Mark? Met a couple of people but only because they've been up in the area.

I don't think it's really needed to be honest dude, it's just a title. Whether I'm area rep or not I'm happy to take responsibility for organising a few meets, and hopefully pud11 won't mind doing this one while I'm in Cornwall...

Area reps really aren't needed, I mean of you think the should be a meet then stick up a thread asking opinions/ideas.
With area reps the responsibility of meets etc was always put on them, without them anyone can ask if someone's up for a meet, and doesn't have to be an official way of doing it. Like said area rep is just a title and IMO overrated.

There's a link to an already made thread on the last page pal, that meet in Sheffield is already set up so why not just arrange something for first Monday of September? I'll be away so I can't make that one...
