Well been with my gf today she had a new tattoo and its got me thinking of having one but i have no idea what to have, was thinking something car related as cars are a massive part of my life other than that theres not much else i could think about having as a tattoo (not having my gf name tattooed or owt like that) but dont fancy have a 306 tattoo as the longest ive ever owned a car was 6 months on advrage i swap every 2 months lol so wondered if you guys have any ideas that i could think about also what tattoos have you got????

I'd wanted my tattoo for 4 years before I got it and I've never looked back, but as much as I want another, I have no idea what to get so I'm not even contemplating. My Mum has two she now regrets, because she rushed into getting them.

So yeah, think really long and hard before you do anything!

I have 3 a scorpion on one side of my neck and my youngest sons name and dob on the other side of my neck. I also have my eldest daughters name up the inside of my left arm. This i dont regret having as i wanted it but i regret the place i got it done as it was my first one and it is shocking poor. All i will say is only get somethink you want and make sure you go to a good studio or you will regret it.

i've two Blink 182 tattoos. i don't regret them in the slightest, and i never will. but im not one to regret anything really. that said, think long and hard about it, and if you can, get hold of some tgransfer paper to give you an idea of how it'll look

^^ This. My Mum kept drawing mine on me in eyeliner for a while before I had it done, so I could decide if I had it in the right place, and I liked the look of it. Now I forget I've even got it!

One thing also, depending on what you do for a living, you should be careful with where you have it done. For example, I'd love my next one to be on my wrist, but I work in a professional office and it wouldn't go down well or look good at all!

I agree with what ppl say that i need to make sure i want it...... i want a tattoo to mean something not just a random thing i love top gear so could have the stig tattooed on me lol ;-) just wondered if any one has any ideas to do with cars but not an actual car

I'm not a fan of tattoo's personally, or peircings..........can't see the point of poking yourself with needles but each to thier own lol.

Whenever someone mentions tat's though, I always think of this one from the other side - the one on his toe.

Make sure you search well for a really good tattooist too! You might find one who charges like £30 per hour and think "oh I'll go there cause its cheap" but it will probably be shit unless its mates rates from a decent tattooist. I've spent years deciding mine and what place and will soon take the plunge to go get it done once I have what I need! Am getting my dogs paw prints, so 4 sets of 2, tattooed on me as if to look like they have walked in sand on my thigh and going across my back so I'm able to continue it in the future. Spent about a year deciding on a tattooist but finally chose one! She's expensive at around £75 an hour but her work is incredible and at the end of the day, rather pay more and be satisfied as it's going to be on my body for the rest of my life!

I don't necessarily think a tattoo has to mean anything at all, and as long as you don't have it on your face or anything I see no reason to regret it. Unless, of course, its shit quality, or particularly generic, so make sure you go to a good artist.

I have a tribal one on my arm and starteg to regret that one 30 mins after having it done as has been said tread carefully luckily enough of my 5 tattoos that is the only one I regret.

On a sidenote I am hopefully getting a polynesian sleeve next week!

Its my birthday at end of month and gettin 3 more done having the Mrs lips tattoo'd on my neck but so can cover with a collar, and she has drawn a woman up with stockings a bare arse and long hair wil upload a pic of the drawing for my forarm looks ace and then getting a script on my thigh all for £100 and a birthday prezzy

ive never thought long and hard about tattoo's at the end of the day if they look good and you like them it doesnt matter what others think. my mrs has loads of tattoos also n some random ones but they mean something personal to her and thats all its about

also ive got sulking tatted on my lip haha
