They had this in the Sunday times live magazine. Its a great mag for things like this. They also do an option for a larger system too lol

Precisely what I was thinking...

Another thing of this world that winds me up a treat, as Tony Andrews of Funktion One said "Sound quality is worse today than it was 30 years ago" and it's so true, people are spending £4000 on a iPod dock that's got an exhaust pipe off seemingly a Jeep Cherokee (omgz 6cyl!) and probably claiming it'll sound good... Well, it's not going to, it's coming from a f*cking iPod with youtube rips...

People laugh at me when I whine at hearing a song ripped from online at 320kbps max. When I rip mine from CD they usually hit 1.5mbps or more and its so noticable

320kbps is absolutely shit all...

You need at least 16bit 44.1khz sampling really... If you're playing it live, 24bit 96khz is really the ONLY way to have it...

CD Quality is 16/44.1... Which means it's (16bits x 44.1khz x 2channels = 1411.2) 1.41mbit/s.... Conversely MP3 is normally 128kbit/s = 0.12mbit/s...

This is why I get wound up when people say MP3 @ 320kbit/s = 0.32mbit/s is high quality... It's not at all... You need to be using WAV or something totally lossless....
