Arent 3bar map sensors standard? -1 to 2bar range? Would suggest a 4bar sensor, no?

Sorry yeah 4 bar map sensor not 3 bar

175 tyres will have to cope, unfortunately the 305 arches don't allow much wider, and different et wheels won't make much difference, standard size tyres on the 305 are 145/70/14

Going to try and squeeze the gtb down the back of the engine too, luckily the 305 has great space round the back for squeezing things in /giggity

Nice plans, will be interested to see what difference the Jtd nozzles make. Are you using the standard manifold for the turbo?

Yes, was planning on just making a set of adaptor plates up. If I was to make a new manifold I would probably gearbox mount for future upgrades

There's a good amount of meat which can be ground out to improve things. I just gasket matched it which opened it up quite a bit Smile

If you get that GTB2056vlk and fuel setup right... I cant see you wanting to upgrade it to be honest!!! Not unless you have shares with michelin!!

Quick update on this to keep this thread alive.

No real progress but been collecting parts ready for some serious work.

Got some brand new front struts, citroen c5 hubs, new drop links (£45 a pair!!) ball joints. Need to decide on front brakes either get some c5 calipers and change the seals to run on brake fluid instead of LHM or see if pug 407 calipers are the same and use those.

Wheels - got a set of 15" steelies which will be powder coated and wrapped in some tyre of the 185/55/15 variety

Found the source of my leaky footwells, I already new where it was coming from, a common source of rust on the 305 - scuttle panel where water just sits

[attachment=20041]

[attachment=20042]

Also on stripping the front end further decided needed a couple more front end panels, so got some headlight panels and a new slam panel (all NOS genuine pug)

[attachment=20043]

Nearly ready to lift the engine out of the 110 hdi Xsara and start the mini rebuild.

I have the forged rods to fit, along with new crank bearings and new big end shells. A new water pump and cambelt kit and a victor reinz head gasket and Arp head studs (just ordered)

I am also going to source a 406 power steering rack and attempt to retro fit.

Another thing I have just ordered is a charge cooler. This means I do not have to run large diameter pipes to the front of the car when there isn't a lot of space to do so. I'm thinking about using a fiat cinquecento radiator along with a focus rs electric water pump.

[attachment=20044]

So for the moment I need to carry on stripping the front end and getting some welding done!

Looking good, the fiat rad should be perfect, that's what I was going to use just didn't have the space in the end. Is there any particular reason your going for standalone VNT management?

I haven't decided whether i will try and get the ecu to control the vnt or go how a few others have done and use a homebrew arduino type controller. Or just use a dodgy boost can at first!
