Going on from the whole thing about taking old people off the roads...
When is this going to be made the law? There is absolutely NO reason for it NOT to be the law, it doesn't cause any issues... It should be the law to have your normal dipped beam on 24/7... Just like it is in a LOT of EU countries and Scandinavia...
I can think of quite a few times where I've been saved by thankfully seeing someones lights reflecting off something in the road.... Especially in bright sunlight from behind on the motorway, the headlights might be the only thing oyu can see...
Since I passed it's simply habit, get in the car, seatbelt on, start engine, lights on - simples... No reason this shouldn't be the law.
