As keeps being said in these pointless threads, an MOT is a test of safety of the vehicle and has nothing, what so ever, to do with it being legal or not!
The fact that something passes an MOT does not make it legal, it just means that it isn't going to kill you, and HID lights fitted to incorrect light units with no self levelling or washers are (last time I looked) Illegal, regardless of passing MOT
